Key staff
MFH is driven by an enthusiastic team of professional and highly qualified teachers who genuinely care about their students. The well defined job descriptions, spirit of team work and well structured staff system allow MFH to focus on quality delivery of programmes and individual support.
David Fowler
- Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
After completing his studies in politics at Victoria University, David spent 16 years in private education overseas as a Senior Executive at Berlitz International. His goal is to ensure MFH meets each individual student’s needs and helps them to achieve their goals.
Robert Nelson
- Academic Manager
Rob has worked and managed in both public and private organisations and taught for 13 years in the polytechnic sector before joining MFH. He is a multiple winner of a national management planning competition with his student groups. As both manager and tutor his role is to support our MFH family to achieve academic and personal excellence.
Andrew Lee
- Sales Manager
Andrew has an MA in Journalism from University of Oregon, USA. He has 10+ years of extensive marketing experiences in the export education industry. His main role is student recruitment and to provide customer service for all MFH students. He loves to travel, meeting new people, documentary films and jazz. His ultimate travel destination is Camino de Santiago, Spain.
James Dorairaj
- Business Development Executive
James came to New Zealand 5 years ago from Malaysia and loving every moment of it. ‘Exporting education’ has been his passion for the last 20 years. His role at MFH is to create new business and partnership in the education field. James likes meeting new people and the possibilities of building a network globally.
Lucy Hodge
- Customer Relations Officer
Lucy spent her childhood both in Auckland, NZ, and Oregon, USA, but is now a proud Wellingtonian! She has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Ancient Greek from Victoria University. She has a passion for languages, learning about other cultures, and baking cookies. She provides students with friendly support and advice, and is always happy to help in any way she can!
Helen Wu
- Student Service Manager
Helen has a Diploma in Accounting. She is dedicated to provide support to students. She is very interested to help students to be positive about their study and life experience in New Zealand. She often share her experience with students.
Huifang Qi (Qiqi)
- Student Adviser
Qiqi provides quality study advice and recommends MFH programmes and services to new and existing students. Qiqi has a Bachelor degree in Management from BUCM in China, she writes and speaks both English and Mandarin, she likes travelling ,swimming and Yoga.
Chris Zhao
- Accountant/Registrar
Chris graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in Accounting and Commercial Law. He looks after accounts and registration. Chris plays an essential role in providing students with support and advice to guide them to achieve their goals. He is passionate about helping students to learn and grow.
Simon Neale
- ESOL Instructor
Simon has been teaching for over 10 years. His work has taken him from China to New Zealand via Czech Republic and Malaysia. Simon has a degree in English Literature, a TEFL Certificate and is half way towards a Masters in Education. Outside of work, Simon enjoys spending time with his wife and two children in Otak.
Purvi Chhaya
- Literacy Instructor
Purvi has been in New Zealand for six years. She has a bachelor’s degree in science with chemistry majors and a Graduate Diploma in Primary teaching. She works as a literacy tutor for migrants and refugees. For her, education is to equip individuals to be able to achieve self-selected goals and aspirations.
Ross Church
- Diploma Tutor
Ross has tutored in various business subjects for more than 20 years. Ross specialises in Marketing, Leadership, Organisation Management and Business Management. He has tutored for many quality NZ institutions. Ross is a classic car enthusiast and Kapiti Coast District Councillor in his spare time.
Alistair Shaw
- Diploma Tutor
Alistair teaches the Commercial Law and Accounting papers in the Diploma programme. He is very interested in helping students pathway to further academic success. Alistair has degrees in Business and Law, and recently completed a PhD in Asian Studies. He speaks a little Chinese and is keen to practice this when he has opportunities.
Carey Teng
- Executive Director
Carey has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor of Science from Beijing China. Carey has been involved in the export education industry in NZ since 1999. She is passionate to helping students achieve their goals at MFH and New Zealand. She speaks Mandarin, English and some Cantonese.
Eric Teng
Director / Chinese Executive
Eric has an Advanced Diploma in Law from China. He is experienced with New Zealand's Immigration Service for Visa applications, processes and relevant issues. Eric is responsible for Media and Public information and Agent relations and support. He is in charge of Chinese marketing development. Eric speaks Mandarin and English.
